Deanne has had more than 20 years professional experience in areas including corporate recovery, management consulting, project management, transaction services/mergers and acquisitions.

Deanne is responsible for the carriage and conduct of the firm’s external administration appointments and has well developed negotiation, investigative and project management skills to assist all our clients in matters of strategic, commercial and operational intelligence. 

She has extensive experience in the hospitality sector and, prior to joining Russell Corporate Advisory, held a long term role abroad with one of the world’s largest private hotel real estate owner/operator with interests in hundreds of hotels across Europe, Japan and North America and was involved in several hotel group transactions and was tasked with establishing the group’s joint venture acquisition corporate structures with several high profile equity investors and the ongoing management of those investment structures and joint venture relationships.

Throughout her career Deanne has been involved in a variety of matters surrounding commercial dispute resolution, property and business acquisition, disposal and development.

Deanne is an Australian Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting Major) from Macquarie University.

Deanne has recently been involved with:

  • Project management and due diligence for one of the largest registered clubs on the first club de-amalgamation in NSW with a transaction value of almost AUD$40million.
  • Advising on several successful amalgamations and de-amalgamations between various registered clubs, assisting either the parent or dissolving club in the process.
  • Reporting to banks on sizeable distressed assets and devising and implementing strategies to maximise the return to all creditors whilst managing stakeholder expectations and invariably whilst navigating various complex litigious issues.
